A large gray naval warship is underway on open ocean under a hazy blue-gray sky. The vessel appears to be a modern amphibious transport dock (LPD-class) ship based on its distinctive superstructure with angular masts and flat deck configuration. The ship is photographed from a low vantage point at sea level, giving a sense of its considerable size.
