150621-N-YY886-002 QUANTICO, Va. – Retired Army Sgt. Maj. David Neumer receives a gold medal for his performance in the open 10K hand-cycle as part of DOD Warrior Games 2015. Neumer, a former Special Forces member, opened the medal count for the U.S. Special Operations Command team. The Warrior Games, founded in 2010, is a Paralympic-style competition that features eight adaptive sports. More than 250 wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force, Special Operations Command, and the British Armed Forces are competing this year.
