    116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team

    An engineer takes measurements during a bridge reconnaissance with limited visibility June 15, 2015, at Fort Drum, N.Y. The engineers of Fredericksburg-based Company A, 116th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Virginia Army National Guard were attached to Suffolk-based Troop B, 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th IBCT to assist with the troop’s area reconnaissance mission within the squadron’s five-day field training exercise, a major component of the 116th IBCT’s Multi-echelon Integrated Brigade Training. The MIBT is the first of its kind run by First Army Division East, a division responsible for training Reserve and National Guard troops ahead of their ready year. Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear specialists also from the 116th BSTB attached to Troop B for the exercise. Soldiers of Fort Drum-based 10th Mountain Division helped up the tempo of the exercise as opposing forces. (National Guard photo by Sgt. JoAnna Greene/Released)
