Lance Cpl. Rashawn Cumberbatch, Personnel, Retrieval and Processing Company, Marine Corps Reserve, gets hit by a simulated improvised explosive device during a joint Army-Marine Corps mortuary affairs training exercise, June 11 at Fort Pickett, Va., Cumberbatch's team was conducting a search and recovery mission when it was attacked. It was only the second time Army and Marine Corps mortuary affairs elements have trained together.
