160611-N-JO245-041 NORFOLK, Va. (June 11, 2015) — Aviation Ordnancemen assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 7 test an LAU-61C/A unguided rocket launcher for static drop prior to a live-fire exercise conducted to familiarize pilots and airmen with new weapons capabilities. HSC 7 provides vertical lift search and rescue, logistics, anti-surface warfare, special operations forces support, and combat search and rescue capabilities for Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 in support of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D.
