Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL students conduct a patrolling exercise during the third phase of training at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. During the third phase of BUD/S, students learn weapons, demolitions, land navigation and patrolling techniques. The Navy SEALs are the maritime component of U.S. special forces unit and are trained to conduct a variety of operations from the sea, air and land.
