Competitors wade through muddy pits and trudge up slippery slopes during the World Famous Mud Run aboard Camp Pendleton, June 6. The race is a four-day annual event part of Marine Corps Community Service Camp Pendleton's Hard Corps Race Series. This year, over 16,000 Marines, Sailors and civilians are expected to compete in 10k, 5k and 1k kids' runs.
