Brig. Gen. Khalil, the 49th Iraqi army Brigade commander, awards certificates of graduation for his soldiers who recently completed a five-day combat lifesaver course at their headquarters in Kirkuk province, Iraq, late August. The training, provided by medics from 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and a Military Transition Team, not only instructed IA soldiers on advanced lifesaving skills, but will allow them to instruct other IA medics.
