The U.S. Flag flies over a statue of Pfc. Thomas Tucker extending a helping hand to an Iraqi girl in Madras, Ore., Aug. 23. The statue was dedicated as a veteran?s memorial in Friendship Park. Tucker, 25, was killed near Baghdad, Iraq, June 16, 2006. The memorial project was spearheaded by friends of Tucker and Madras High School students.
