Adm. Gary Roughead, chief of Naval Operations, is rendered honors by rainbow side boys on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. Roughead is in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility attending the Indonesian International Fleet Review, which commemorates the 64th anniversary of Indonesian independence. George Washington is the Navy's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier and is underway supporting security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean during its inaugural summer deployment from Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan.
