Bernard Hess, commanding officer with the 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, introduces his staff to high ranking members of the 136th Military Police, Japan Ground Self Defense Force May 28 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The visit a step toward maintaining a constructive relationship between the JGSDF and Marine MPs. “(Japan and the United States) already have a strong alliance,” explained U.S. 1st Lt. Christopher Rogers, far right, the 3rd LEB training officer. “Working with JGSDF is a great opportunity to continue the strong relationship.”
