U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 27, 2015) – Sailors heave a tending line aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) during a replenishment at sea with the Military Sealift Command fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8). Normandy is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
