Guards with 1st Marine Corps District fire the M9A1 pistol at the Mitchel Field Shooting Complex on May 28. “Today was strictly familiarization fire, so I took aspects of the old Marine Corps qualification, new Marine Corps combat qualification course, and guard specific tatics,” said Gunnery Sergeant William Neimi, guard chief of 1st Marine Corps District. The guards use the M9A1 pistol, Benelli M104 shotgun, and M16-A4 service rifle as their trained weapons.
