U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Jon Davis, Deputy Commandant for Aviation (right), talks with Royal Navy Cmdr. Mark Dellar and Lt. Cmdr. Over a two-week period, OT-1 will evaluate the full spectrum of F-35B measures of suitability and effectiveness, as well as the aircraft’s readiness for initial operating capability in July 2015. Data and lessons learned will lay the groundwork for future F-35B deployments aboard U.S. Navy amphibious carriers.
