Staff Sgt. Heather Lamicek, left, and Staff Sgt. Jay Jacobs, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron munitions flight inspectors, test the operability of a GBU-38 fin, July 20, in Southwest Asia. The 379 EMXS munitions flight provides aircraft with both offensive and defensive explosive devices to support various air tasking orders throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Lamicek is a native of Amarillo, Texas, and Jacobs is a native of Winnebago, Neb. Both are deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
