Royal Brunei navy Lt. Col. Spry bin Haji Seruji presents Capt. William Kearns III, commander of Task Group 73.5, with a plaque during the closing ceremony for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training Brunei 2009. Spry and Kearns were co-commanders of the combined afloat staff for CARAT Brunei. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
