150504-N-GZ228-009 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 4, 2015) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Jacob Meadows, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 1, directs Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Brian Smith while he drives a forklift onto a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) in the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer is currently underway conducting routine training exercises and maintenance in preparation for its upcoming deployment.
