(April 29, 2015) Musician 3rd Class Adam Smolensky, a member of Navy Band Southwest's rock band, "Destroyers," and a Washington native, plays keyboard during a Navy Week Shreveport performance for LightHouse After-School Program at Judson Fundamental Elementary Magnet School. LightHouse is a program of Volunteers of America with a mission of helping students overcome poverty, illiteracy and joblessness. Navy Weeks focus a variety of assets, equipment and personnel on a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects in cities that don't have a large naval presence.
