Maj. Gen. Timothy M. Zadalis, commander, 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., delivered a C-5M Super Galaxy to Travis Air Force Base, Calif., April 28, 2015. The newly-modernized aircraft is the sixth C-5M to return to Travis following retrograde and refurbishment. Travis aircrews fly the new M-model around the world supporting Department of Defense missions with improved capabilities such as fuel efficiency, reduced noise and greater payloads. On April 3, 2015 a Travis aircrew claimed 45 aeronautical records in a C-5M, positioning the U.S. military's largest airframe as the world's top aviation record holder with a total of 86 world records.
