Tam Nguyen, an ear, nose and throat surgeon with the 4005th U.S. Army Hospital, U.S. Army Medical Command, operates to remove a baseball-sized goiter from a woman’s neck April 20, 2015 at the Hospital Militaire D’Instruction (Military Teaching Hospital) in N’Djamena, Chad. Nguyen and other Soldiers from the Army Reserve Medical Command were in Chad participating in Medical Readiness and Training Exercise 15-3.
