    Marine Rotational Force - Darwin

Sailors with the Royal New Zealand Navy perform “Haka," or the Dance of War, to end the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps Day Parade April 25 in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. ANZAC Day commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops on the Gallipoli peninsula April 25, 1915. “Haka” is a traditional Māori dance that is performed during ceremonies and celebrations to honor guests and show the importance of the occasion. This year marked the 100th anniversary of the landing. Marine Rotational Force - Darwin is an excellent opportunity for Marines and members of the Australian Defence Force to improve our knowledge of one another’s customs and traditions which ultimately strengthen our military interoperability.
