Landing Craft, Air Cushion 10, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5, makes a late-afternoon run to the beach while transporting U.S. Marines and vehicles back to the amphibious assault ship USS Essex. Essex is participating in Talisman Saber 09, a biennial, combined exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined operations.
