Lt. Col. Anthony Childs, commander New Zealand Contingent of the Multinational Force and Observers places a wreath at the base of a memorial display as part of the 100th anniversary ceremony held in honor of ANZAC Day on North Camp in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. The Somber somber dawn service allowed members of the MFO to pay tribute to the more than 10,000 Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) service members who lost their lives in war in 1915. The Remembrance Ceremony marked the 100th Anniversary to the day when Anzacs set out to capture the Gallipoli Peninsula April 25, 1915. The campaign lasted eight months and cost Australia 8,000 Soldiers and more than 2,700 were lost by the New Zealanders. (U.S. Army Photo By: Sgt. Alexander Oliver)
