Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. Forces with the Combined Joint Civil Military Operational Task Force play basketball during an all-day icebreaker event in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, during exercise Balikatan 2015 April 25. The icebreaker was held for the members of the CJCMOTF to increase camaraderie and to strengthen relationships between military forces. Balikatan, which means “shoulder-to-shoulder” in Filipino, in an annual bilateral training exercise between U.S. and Philippine forces improving security cooperation activities, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities, and crisis response throughout the region.
