Petty Officer 2nd Class Aaron McCoy, from Azuza, Calif., explains the functions of a 25mm gun aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell to Royal Australian navy Petty Officer Michael Flynn and Seaman Aaron Whelan during a personnel cross-deck exercise with the Royal Australian navy guided-missile frigate HMAS Newcastle. McCampbell is underway with the Essex expeditionary Strike Group supporting the bilateral training exercise Talisman Saber 2009, a biennial exercise between the U.S. and the Australian defense forces.
