Faculty and students with MC Perry Elementary School aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, gather to celebrate their accomplishment on winning the "National Blue Ribbon Schools Program" Award, April 21, 2015. In honor of MC Perry, the Elementary School's guest speaker was Dr. Linda Curtis, the Director of the Department of Defense Education Activity Pacific. The award is given to schools for overcoming adversity through academic perseverance and student growth.
