Andrew Hisel uses a jack hammer to break through reinforced cement April 16 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst under the guidance of New Jersey Task Force One urban search and rescue instructor Bob McDermott. Hisel and fellow New York Army National Guard Soldiers from Company A, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion conducted breaching and breaking training using heavy concrete drills, chain saws, jack hammers and torches to better prepare for urban search and rescue.
