A Chilean military engineer works with the U.S. Army Reserve's 485th Engineer Company out of Rockford, Ill., on the placement of a concrete cinder block that will eventually become an exterior wall of a medical facility currently under construction in San Juan Opico, El Salvador. U.S. military personnel are conducting comprehensive humanitarian and civic assistance exercises in El Salvador in conjunction with Brazilian, Canadian, Chilean and Salvadoran militaries for Beyond the Horizon 2015. Troops specializing in engineering, construction and health care are providing needed services to Salvadoran communities while receiving valuable deployment training and building important relationships with partner nations.
