Col. Suzanne Adkinson, the Texas Joint Counterdrug Task Force (TX-JCDTF) commander, addresses a group of fourth grade students during an Operation Crackdown event, April 9, 2015, in Laredo, Texas. TX-JCDTF partnered with the city of Laredo, the Laredo Police Department and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to clean up the city and rid the community of crime associated with a drug nexus. Crackdown is the operational name of a program in which Texas Military Forces Soldiers and Airmen demolish structures that have been identified as having a drug nexus and other criminal activities associated with the drug trade occurring at those homes.
