150406-N-XG464-232 GULF OF ADEN (April 6, 2015) The Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10) conducts a vertical replenishment at sea with the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), not pictured. New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
