ROBERTSON BARRACKS, NORTHERN TERRITORY, Australia — Christine Wormuth (left), the undersecretary of defense for policy, discusses current events throughout the Department of Defense with Marines supporting Marine Rotational Force- Darwin, 1 April at Robertson Barracks, Northern Territory, Australia. Wormuth and other key leaders also toured the MRF-D facilities and accommodations at RAAF Darwin and Robertson Barracks shortly after meeting with the Marines. This year marks the fourth rotation of Marines to the Northern Territory as part of MRF-D. The rotational deployment in Darwin enables Marines to more effectively train, exercise, and operate with partners, enhances regional security and builds capacity to respond more rapidly to natural disasters and crises throughout that region.
