A Marine color guard retires the battalion colors for 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines after they were cased during a deactivation ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 1, 2015. This was the third time 2/9 has been deactivated since 1945, but its leaders reaffirmed that when an emergency arises and the Marine Corps needs more personnel, ‘Hell in a helmet’ will be back and ready for action.
