An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Fighting Redcocks" of Strike Fighter Squadron 22, launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The Super Hornet provides the carrier strike group with a strike fighter that has increased range, endurance and ordnance-carrying capabilities. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the NAVCENT/5th Fleet area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
