Three Marines with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, remain on the alert until the village is deemed clear and secure during an assault as a part of their Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation aboard Fort Pickett, VA, March 26, 2015. Marines with 2nd Amphibian Assault Battalion transported the Marines to the village in their Amphibious Assault Vehicles, after 2nd Tank Battalion scanned and advanced on the field in front of the village.
