U.S. Marines patrol to the small town of Dahanah neighboring Now Zad, Helmand province, Afghanistan June 25, in order to develop relationships with the civilians in the area. The Marines of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, Company G become engaged in firefights in Now Zad on a regular basis, but they are also focusing on improving the quality of life for the civilians in the neighboring towns. Most of the residents were forced out of Now Zad by Taliban militants.
