150328-N-VN372-003 HOUSTON, Texas - (March 28, 2015) Disabled Navy veteran Jennifer Penn navigates her specially adapted home in a motorized wheelchair March 28, while volunteers from Helping a Hero stain her fence and make simple repairs around the house. Helping a Hero is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering wounded veterans – one home at a time – by providing specially adapted homes tailored to their disabilities.
