Seaman Andrew O'Brien uses a sound-powered phone while standing the Lee-helmsman watch in the pilothouse of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. In the ship's pilothouse, two enlisted Sailors control the ship's movement; the helmsman controls the direction of the ship, and the lee helmsman controls the speed. Ronald Reagan is moored pier-side in Singapore for a scheduled port visit.
