Lance Cpl. Zachary Mace, vehicle mechanic, 21, from Rigby, Idaho, with Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, repairs the disengaging switch of a 7-ton truck at Camp Pendleton, Calif. June 23. One of the missions of 1st Maintenance Bn. is to provide intermediate-level maintenance support, to include wheeled and tracked vehicle recovery, salvage and disposal, and general maintenance support for I Marine Expeditionary Force's ground equipment in order to improve and sustain a Marine Air-Ground Task Force's combat power. These mechanics maintain all of CLR-15's vehicles to a certain degree, which support training and transportation.
