After Pfc. Daniel Parker's metal detector alerted to a buried metallic object, an Iraqi soldier from the 3rd Company, 4th Battalion, 24th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division, used a shovel to dig up the object. Parker, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., is an infantryman assigned to Company D, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
