Pictured are ROKN submarine Lee Sunshin (SS-068), ROKN Sejong the Great (DDG 991), USS Lassen (DDG 82), ROKN Jinju (PCC 763), ROKN Gwanggaeto the Great (DDH 971), ROKN Sokcho (PCC 778), ROKN Kyeongbuk (FF 956) and ROKN Gwangmyeong (PCC 783). Foal Eagle is a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the ROK-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability of the Indo-Asian-Pacific region.
