U.S. Army 1st Lt. Daniel Braud, a platoon leader with 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, talks with shop owner Ali Husain in Kirkuk, Iraq, June 16. Husain, who received a microgrant to start his shop, talked to Braud about his business and how the grant money helped him make his shop successful. Braud spent the day visiting six businesses to ensure the microgrant money was spent according to the grant guidelines.
