NORFOLK, Va. (March 13, 2015) – Engineman 2nd Class Daniel Elliot, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67), shares the ceremonial first kiss with his wife upon the ship’s return to homeport at Naval Station Norfolk following a seven-month deployment to the 6th Fleet Area of Responsibility. Cole conducted maritime security operations in support of Operation Active Endeavour in the Mediterranean Sea as 6th Fleet’s Ballistic Missile Defense unit.
