NORFOLK (Mar. 10, 2014) – Navy Diver Third Class Wylie Shields, a native of Ocean Springs, Miss., assigned to Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, removes his diving gear after cleaning aquatic debris from the clogged intakes on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). TR and its Sailors are preparing to get underway to conduct operations in the U.S. Navy’s 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility supporting maritime security operations in international waters around the world.
