Cpl. Christopher J. Benavidez adjusts his communication equipment before boarding the Bell UH-1Y Venom helicopter Feb. 17 at Marine Air Ground Combat Center during Integrated Training Exercise 2-15. Marines with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force conducted a long distance aerial raid from Twentynine Palms, California, to Yuma, Arizona, to demonstrate and hone aerial assault skills. ITX 2-15 is designed to integrate combined arms and improve war fighting capabilities. Benavidez, a Livermore, California, native, is a radio operator, with Headquarters Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
