Pfc. Daniel Gentle of Winston-Salem, N.C., leads an Iraqi national policeman through a palm grove in Doura, June 13. Gentle, an infantryman assigned to Company A, 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, was part of a company-sized element of Soldiers searching the palm grove for weapons. A police officer in his civilian job, Gentle had just finished a shift performing guard duty in a lookout tower prior to the mission.
