Senior Airman Sonny Negre, 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron communication and navigation mission systems journeyman, pressurizes an HF1 coupler in the tail of a KC-135 Stratotanker, March 2, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. Negre checked the communication and navigation equipment on the aircraft during an isochronal inspection. The coupler must be properly pressurized to prevent corrosion and possible voltage arcing at high altitudes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Victor J. Caputo)
