Kathryn Miles, an engineer for Provincial Reconstruction Team Panjshir, rides "Blue," one of the many horses used for Horse Familiarization Training conducted by the 189th Infantry Brigade at Painted Moon Horse Farm in Columbus, Ind. When the PRT deploys to Afghanistan, the knowledge of working with horses will enable them to navigate areas of rough terrain where military vehicles cannot operate.
