150223-N-KL617-063 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 23, 2015) - Machinist's Mate 1st Class Stephan Piper conducts routine safety checks in the fire room aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Blue Ridge successfully conducted a "light off" of its boilers, providing steam to power the steam plant, in order to resume patrols of the 7th Fleet area of operations.
