Fred Berg, commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fred J. Estes Post 9876, Pattaya, Thailand, helped organize and host a barbeque event for the active-duty service members participating in Exercise Cobra Gold 2015, Feb. 16. The organization provides camaraderie to veterans and active-duty military members in the States and overseas by ensuring they receive respect and recognition for their service and sacrifices. Berg is from St. Louis, Missouri. Cobra Gold is a Thailand /United States, co-sponsored multinational and joint theater security cooperation exercise, conducted annually in the Kingdom of Thailand, with 25 nations participating this year.
