Naval dental assistants isolate the tooth they will be operating on during mock oral surgery Feb. 12 at Camp Kinser, Okinawa. The surgery is to fix a Malocclusion- a condition when teeth are not properly aligned and cause a bad bite, resulting in several harmful dental issues. Mock oral surgeries were part of a battalion-wide, field dental exercise for 3rd Dental Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
